Pi Day
Event Duration: Tuesday, March 9 00:00 to Tuesday, March 16 00:00
To celebrate the mathematical constant π (pi) and promote mathematical literacy, LightSoulMS will be conducting a week-long forum event.
Players are encouraged to participate and win prizes. We will be slowly counting the digits of pi, in a community effort, blockchain-like fashion.
Rules
1. Submissions
Players may submit screenshots from in-game that show character's attack damage, damage taken, or HP healed.
Players may use any characters on their own accounts for each submission.
Only one damage value per screenshot may be used in a submission.
Screenshots must clearly display the character, the surrounding environment, and the mob dealing or taking damage (if applicable).
Screenshots must not be clipped in such a way that it only shows damage or HP healed; or photoshopped or altered for the purposes of spoofing the numbers.
Screenshots submitted must not have been previously submitted in the chain.2. The Chain
In order for a submission to be valid and accepted, damage shown must be the next sequence of digits (from left to right) in the chain.
Players may only make one submission at a time. Players may not submit in rapid succession.
If a submission does not contain the valid, next sequence of digits, it is disqualified and should ignored.
If multiple submissions are made in a short timespan, contesting overlapping decimal places, the longer chain will take precedence.
We will only count submissions in the chain up to an error, if any. Any submissions after an error are disqualified.
Addendum: If the next leading digit is a 0, you may skip to the next non-zero digit.
3. Certification
A submission is certified if a moderator has liked it.
Moderators will periodically make certification posts to confirm submissions in the chain, and to provide guidance for the next sequence of digits.
