The first snow of the season has fallen, Christmas lights are being strung up, and the cold winter air hangs on each breath outside. At last, the holidays are here.

To capture each special moment, we will be holding an event over the holiday period for players to submit screenshots, photos, collages, videos, and stories of special moments you've had with LightSoulMS.

Have a favourite moment in LightSoulMS? Reenact it and submit it here.

At the end of the event, we will be putting together the highlights in a special compilation.

Happyville
Happyville will be open to everyone to celebrate the holidays. In addition to taking photos and recording your adventures throughout Maple World, scenic locations around Happyville will be perfect locations to have a photo shoot.

Anniversary Photo Shoot

Gather with us for a photo shoot with all Maplers for the first anniversary of LightSoulMS.

Event Date: Sunday, December 19th, 2021 (as per Discord poll)

Event Time: 4:00pm PST

Location: Meet at Free Market in Channel 1.

Most Memorable Media Contest
All submissions will be considered by staff for the Most Memorable Media contest.

Multiple posts are permitted, but redundant or repetitive posts will be disqualified at staffs' discretion.

Each post would be considered as one submission. Each submission should include a title and a description or story to accompany media (or media to accompany a story).

We will judge submissions on the following criteria:

- creativity,

- originality,

- adherence and appropriateness to theme,

- overall impression and impact,

- storytelling elements, and

- cohesiveness with the community.

Update [2021-12-15]: Collaborations and Group Submissions

We are permitting collaborations and group submissions.

Depending on the complexity, levels of contributions from each participant, and collaboration aspects of a submission, it will be up to staff discretion to review and evaluate if there is a true group effort for submissions labeled as a collaboration or group submission (i.e. clearly state as so and state each participant). If we review and count it, it will count as a submission for each participant.

If a group submission wins a prize for the contest, it will be up to the group to divvy the prize. (Participation prizes for submissions are still awarded per participant.)

Please only have one person from the group submit once.

Update [2021-12-15]: Old screenshots and media from LightSoulMS are permitted. You can also recreate moments from LightSoulMS, MapleMelodies, or NightSoulMS if you would like. (You may share media from our legacy servers if there is also media from LightSoulMS present in the submission.)

Update [2021-12-15]: We are also asking everyone to submit originals (uncropped and unedited) as well so that we can make a composite after the event.

Prizes

Contest Prizes:

- 1st Prize: 50 Lsp., 3 Gashapon Ticket, choice of Maplemas Tree or Versalmas Cactus
- 2nd Prize: 25 Lsp., 2 Gashapon Ticket, choice of Maplemas Tree or Versalmas Cactus
- 3rd Prize: 15 Lsp., 1 Gashapon Ticket, choice of Maplemas Tree or Versalmas Cactus

Contest Participation Prizes (for each submission you make, you will get the following prizes):

- 1 Christmas Tree Chair for first submission,

- Choice of a Maplemas or Versalmas Hat for second submission,

- 3 Gashapon Tickets for third submission,

- Choice of 4 Cosmetic Coupons (REG or VIP for any town, excluding Showa) for fourth submission,

- 5 Garnet ~~Ores~~ for fifth submission,

- 6 Reindeer Morphs for sixth submission,

- Choice of 70 winter confetti for seventh submission,

- 80 Reindeer Milk for eighth submission,

- 1 December Chair for ninth submission,

- 100 Maplemas Hams for tenth submission,
- 1 Maplemas Lights for eleventh submission,

- 12 Safety Charms and choice of a Maplemas or Versalmas Hat for 12th submission.

- Feel free to make more submissions.

Anniversary Participation Prize:
- 1 Maple Hood Hat

This screen shot marks the true beginning of my journey in LightSoulMS for me. After two grueling tutorials on a mage class (Yeah, I kind of messed up c`-), and after struggling to stay alive as a result of having no potions or money, I finally reached KPQ level. From here on, I had so much fun partying and chatting with both new and old friends! King Slime didn't stand a chance against the power of friendship and min-max builds. Stay tuned for more leafy adventures~

Some really old fossilized memories from the golden days of NightsoulMS 4x EXP, 4x Mesos

BBS of Guild Exception Circa 2012 feat. Eddiexdz (Leader of Guild Exception) & KingCrimson (GM of NightsoulMS). This was an awesome guild I have had the privilege of being part of. So many faint memories shared with buddies of Exception

Lively guildies from Guild Syndicate. So many players from all different backgrounds. There were also so many different classes in our guild , everyone wanted to play a unique class or role.

Modern day Guildies in LightsoulMS. Many of us still have faint memories of those who seldom log on.

Lets party up! From NightsoulMS 2x EXP, 2x Mesos

Kerning PQ was so fun, as a break from the regular monster grind, fun times all around. It was less about dealing massive damages, and more about sharing fun times in the game while goofing around with funny character builds.

Featuring Guild Serendipity. HP warrior. Permabeginner

Partying with 3 pet friends in battle gives you a balloon when going up a ladder or rope. Cute!

Right now in LightsoulMS, only 1 pet friend can join me at any one time. However, once I will be able to get my hands on the skill 'Follow my Lead', I shall have more animal friends in my party!
