Patch Notes
Bad news, there's not much content in this update. Good news, ALOT of bugs have been fixed, and some quality of life features have been added. There's a lot to go through here so buckle up and read the patch notes!
☼ Client/Server
♦ You can now force the client to start in windowed mode by changing an option in LSMS.ini. (Experimental)
♦ You can now disable MapleTips and/or hourly nag messages by changing an option in LSMS.ini.
♦ Fixed the "god mode" bug where players would become unable to take damage if their computer uptime exceeded about 24 days.
♦ Fixed the "stuck map" bug where under certain conditions, monster aggro could get stuck when a dead character logged out before respawning.
♦ Fixed a bug where occasionally the "Press OK to be revived" button wouldn't work after a character died.
♦ Fixed a bug where certain player actions would rapidly degrade server performance.
♦ Fixed a bug which caused disconnections when changing channels.
♦ Fixed a bug which could cause a crash or disconnection when performing an attack while being knocked back while underwater.
♦ (Possibly)† Fixed a bug which could cause disconnection when a party buff expired.
♦ (Possibly)† Fixed a bug which could rarely cause Key Config settings to be deleted after a client crash.
♦ Rolled back some optimizations in login procedure that caused instability.
* As a result, logging in and out may take slightly longer than before.
* You may encounter “this account is already logged in” when logging back into the same account very quickly, but this is harmless.
♦ Fixed a bug where the Login button could stay pressed, forcing a client restart
♦ Fixed a bug that could cause a crash after selecting a character.
♦ Fixed a bug that could rarely get the client stuck at the character select screen.
♦ Fixed a bug where the Name Change Coupon allowed special characters in names.
♦ Adjusted the Free Market button's pop-up window about catching your breath to be a chat log message instead.
♦ Disabled the "Level 15 and below may only trade 1 million mesos per day" popup
♦ Added some new Safety Charm recipes and made all recipes slightly harder.
♦ Minor text fixes.
☼ Skill Fixes/Changes
IMPORTANT NOTE: If your skill build had to change because of any of the affected skills not working, and you would like to adjust your SP to take advantage of any of the affected skills, please message Staff privately and we will arrange for adjustments to be made.
♦ Fixed issues causing disconnections with the following skills:
* Steal
* Pickpocket
* Drain
* Poison Mist
* Mortal Blow
* Venomous Stab
* Venomous Star
* Beholder
* Rush
* Blind
♦ Fixed a bug which caused a crash when dealing damage with Mana Reflection.
♦ Fixed a bug where Mortal Blow's instant kill chance did not work.
♦ Fixed a bug where Paralyze did not apply stun.
♦ Fixed a bug where the Ice/Lightning Mage's Mana Amplification improved damage without increasing MP cost.
♦ Fixed a bug where Concentrate did not reduce the MP cost of skills.
♦ Fixed a bug where self-buffs could be applied during Monster Rider's startup animation.
♦ (Possibly)† Fixed a bug where Big Bang could grant a huge, unintended amount of magic attack.
♦ The 4th job Thief's Ninja Ambush skill is now functional.
♦ The Shadower's Smokescreen skill is now functional.
☼ Monster Changes
♦ Fixed a bug where jumping monsters like Soulless Lucida could jump off of platforms they weren't supposed to, sometimes jumping out of bounds.
♦ Fixed a bug where players entering and leaving a map could cause monsters on sloped platforms to fall through the platform.
♦ Fixed a bug where killing a transforming monster on a sloped platform could result in the transformed monster falling through the platform.
♦ Fixed a bug where Papulatus could not be summoned more than once per channel.
♦ You can now prepare the Zakum Altar for another summoning in the same channel by talking to Amon.
♦ Zakum's first body will no longer participate in the fight before the arms are defeated.
♦ It is no longer possible to summon Horntail while a Horntail fight is already in progress in the map.
☼ Skill Fixes/Changes (cont.)
♦ The Bandit's Steal skill is now operational.
♦ The Shadower's Taunt skill is now operational.
♦ The 4th Job Magician's Mana Reflection skill is now operational.
* Known Issue: the displayed damage may not match the actual damage dealt with the skill. However, the correct damage will still be applied on the server side.
♦ The Archmage's Fire Demon and Ice Demon skills are now operational.
* Fixed a bug where the elemental modification effect did not apply.
* Elements will not be modified if the enemy is Immune to the Demon's element.
* Fixed a bug where the damage-over-time effect did not apply.
* Fire Demon's damage-over-time is significantly faster than Ice Demon's.
* Fixed a bug where Ice Demon's freeze effect did not display correctly, and would last for the entire duration of the damage-over-time effect.
* Freeze duration reaches a maximum of 3 seconds at skill level 21.
♦ Chain Lightning's damage penalty has been reduced by 60%.
♦ We apologize: Heaven's Hammer's cooldown has been re-enabled. It was far more powerful than intended. However, we also felt that its v55 values were TOO underpowered, so Hammer is receiving a buff.
* The cooldown is reduced by 80% if it does not hit any boss monsters.
* Heaven's Hammer now hurts bosses and will deal 1010% its listed damage against boss monsters.
♦ Fixed a bug where the damage reduction from Achilles would not be displayed to the player getting hit.
♦ Fixed a bug where Guardian did not apply a stun effect as intended.
♦ Fixed a bug where Holy Shield did not work.
♦ Shadower's Boomerang Step can now be used even at the edge of a platform.
♦ Piercing Arrow can now be used in melee range and will fire instead of bow-whacking when interrupted.
♦ You can now use potions while mounted.
†We did not encounter the issue during testing, but we can't be 100% certain it's fixed.
