After unlocking dark crystal refining with Spiruna, she can also offer to make safety charms. The ingredients required are as follows:
100 soft feather 1 Moon Rock 1 Star Rock 1 Littleman C's Necklace 1,000,000 Mesos

I think it would be easier to earn back 10% lost exp than it would be to farm even a 10th of those requirements lol. Sounds like charms may not be intended exist at all, but if they did, hopefully they would be more reasonable to craft than that haha.

Maybe it's a bit much? I definitely don't want it to be too easy though.
This should help make ores more valuable too. Ideally, people can just save the soft feathers as they train, and the ores could be traded from other players. So hopefully it wouldn't be TOO bad....

I think a recipe more thematically fitting of the item would be better here, as well as making it not completely unrealistic to craft.
Here's what I suggest: 1 LUK Crystal 7 Clovers (Bunny food item, rarely drops from Slimes) 7 Stiff Feathers 7 Soft Feathers
Adding Clover to the recipe would make something for lower leveled players to sell for a good chunk of starting money, which I think makes for a positive experience for all players. Mostly high leveled players would be interested in creating Safety Charms, and I don't think many of them would kill Slimes for hours on end just for this item. Most players find a few Clovers when they're starting off, and it would save those higher leveled players a lot of time to just buy them off of other players which circulates a bit of money around to the lower levels.

I thought the original design was thematic enough as it was. One stone on the safety charm looks like it's in the shape of the moon. The other counterpart could be a star rock. And it also looks like there's a bit of feather in it.
But anyway, I don't think it's good design to make clovers a requirement. Most big MMO designers fall into this design mistake, thinking hordes of new players will provide all that's needed and be some kind of boon to the economy. The reality is that unless our player base is expanding exponentially, it will be the high level players stuck farming clovers if they really want those charms. And this will only incentivize people to stay mobbing slimes for money (it's ALREADY really good money) instead of trying other places to train.
At least ores are plentiful from kpq, and anyone can hunt some sort of level-appropriate monster to get a certain ore if they can't find a seller.

Sure, but THAT many ores? Star rocks and moon rocks require an insane quantity of everything. That is way too much.
What other MMOs have made this "mistake" as you call it? I really don't see what's so bad about this. Slimes are commonly trained at for very long periods of time anyway. People who went to the slime tree have upwards of like 50 or so, it's sort of not very difficult to obtain this amount.
The main kicker in my proposed recipe is the LUK crystal as an alternative to the massive requirements of both a moon and a star rock, and the rest is just for theme. Could you propose a potential alternative for Clovers that would fit the theme?

Ingredients to craft 1 safety charm:
1 golden gachapon ticket
P.s. jk that's a terrible idea.
I like the idea of crafting it, but yeah a moon rock and a star rock will literally require like 150+ ores of differing types. There has to be some incentive to make the charm or it would just be a waste of time coding the npc. As I mentioned previously, if it is easier to just farm back 10% than it is to spend hours gathering materials for a charm, then people would simply not bother. So whatever the recipe is, it should be inconvenient but still reasonable to attain.
Edit: with Tell's suggestion, the yield should be like 10 safety charms or maybe more to compensate for the effort spent obtaining such a large amount of rare materials.

If you really want something more "thematic" clovers ain't it. I'm just not seeing it. But looking at the safety charm, there's two stones: a green and an orange one. We could maybe have two methods of crafting it, that are easier than my first suggestion: 100 soft feather 1 Adamantium Plate 1 Mithril Plate 1 Littleman C's Necklace 1,000,000 mesos or 100 soft feather 1 Topaz 1 Emerald 1 Littleman C's Necklace 1,000,000 mesos So this goes from like 150 ores down to 20. And these aren't particularly rare ores or ones that are needed in excessive quantities to craft stars, so I think that would be win-win. -- Ragnarok Online is one such MMO I'm very familiar with that is like this. A lot of times high level players will be seeking commodities or rare items that only drop from very low level monsters. To hunt those monsters at such a high level is extremely boring and has no challenge whatsoever. Makes you want to kill yourself or fall asleep. It's no wonder that the game became so infested with bots.
Sure maybe a warrior might be leveling on slimes to level 21 or 25 or something. But no other class would be doing that. And nobody is going to be training on slimes after level 30.

Suggestion: Be able to craft a batch of charms instead of one at a time, just like refining ores. ._.

I have another suggestion. Opal ore isn't really used for much of anything. No significant quests or particularly valuable things to craft I think.
SO! Why don't we create a custom safety charm recipe for opals? Maybe we could even have a contest and see who comes up with the best suggestion for ingredients.
Here's my suggestion:
30 Ice Backbone 30 Dark Nependeath Seed

I would love to be able to use my Opals, I have so many!
Gold and Black Crystal Ore also dont have a recipe either, so here's a suggestion for those:
For Gold, there are a couple of higher level monsters in deep Ludi that haven't been used yet, so something like: 15 Viking Sail (Spirit Viking) 15 Sealed Bottle (Phantom Watch, or could go with Master Death Teddy too)
As for Black Crystal Ore, maybe something like: 30 Dark Drake's Horn (Dark Drake, since that hasn't been used yet) 30 Zombie Teddy Bear (Soul Teddy)

Well I do know that gold can be used for saddles and titanium arrows.
And black crystal for faint steelies!
