Contrasting to when I was on the level range for KPQ, it seems that the member requirement is back to 4 people which isnt good on servers with lower populations Back when I was on the lvl range I got into PQs because everyone started at the same time, reaching the PQ lvls at around the same time, now new players come sporadically and even getting 3 people might be too hard to do

Yeah I don't know why the requirement was increased, we only had enough people for pqing back in the day because a bunch of people had pq mules sitting around which are of course a lot harder to make now than they were back in 2012 on 4x rates

The PQ requirement was lowered to 3 and 5 during alpha/beta testing to make things easier for testing. It was not meant to be left that way for release. We are sorry for the confusion this has brought.
I can review this with the team again, but here is the general reasoning behind the 4/6 KPQ and LPQ.
Back in the old MapleStory days, there were many things that made it difficult to consistently do a PQ. These were things such as multiple parties competing to get in, auto clickers, trackers etc. With a small server we don't have these sort of obstacles. So if a team is able to assemble a full party then they can do the PQ as many times as they want. So at the moment the only thing stopping people from getting that easy PQ experience is having people.
That is a good point and I will bring that up with the team.

It's not necessary to stay strictly to how things were in GMS. Isn't that rather the point of this server? To do something new, fresh, and to improve upon the classic experience? Sure, in the old days of Maplestory it wasn't just a simple matter getting in. There were a lot of people, sure, but there were also a lot of channels, and usually you could eventually get in. Here on the other hand.. well, when you're crowd surfing the wave it's all hunky-dory. But when the wave dries up and there's not enough online to run a KPQ or LPQ for days on end, I think it's a bit too restrictive, and we are robbing players of a chance to do PQs before they outlevel them.
It's not like I want everything to be easy for everyone. The real difficulty should be within the PQ itself and cooperating with fellow players. Not.. simply finding one more player so the party leader can sit at a NPC without participating in figuring out the number combinations. If we want to consider making it harder overall as a counterbalance, you may want to look into making smuggling impossible.
